General
- Resolve holds as early in the semester as possible.
- Register right away when your registration opens up.
- Prerequisites are strictly enforced.
- For example, students must complete PSY 3801 before they can register for PSY 3001W.
- Online courses are the most popular sections and will fill quickly. We are not an online degree program, and many courses to complete your major will be taken in person.
- We tend to offer a lot of summer courses, and they tend to be all online.
Waitlists
Many psychology courses have waitlists added. OneStop has great information on how those waitlists work. If you are signing up for a waitlist and have a backup course in mind, try out the Future Swap function in the registration system. The future swap allows the system to drop you from your backup course if you get into your waitlisted course. Be sure to review these instructions before adding yourself to a waitlist!
Closed Courses
Courses in psychology are not overfilled. Any emails to faculty about getting into a closed course are forwarded to our office. We recommend reaching out to us right away to reduce the number of emails you might need to manage.
If you need access to the Capstone course and it is the last course you need to graduate, contact Psychology Advising to get on the internal waitlist.
